Description sommaire de la pratique agroécologique

The project “Promotion of Connections Between Rural and Urban Areas in Local and Regional Agroecological Supply Dynamics, Combined with Political Advocacy for Food and Nutritional Sovereignty and Security”—widely known as Misereor in Network—was approved in December 2015 as a result of collaboration between the Vianei Center for Popular Education (AVICITECS – SC) and three other organizations from southern Brazil: the Center for Alternative Popular Technologies (CETAP – RS), AS-PTA Agroecology (PR), and the Center for Study and Promotion of Group Agriculture (CEPAGRO – SC). Since its inception, the project has been continually renewed, maintaining its core objective: to promote and strengthen local and regional agroecological production, processing, and supply chains that connect rural and urban areas, guided by principles of solidarity and the food security of populations. 🌱🌍

This initiative is funded by the German Catholic international solidarity organization MISEREOR, with the Vianei Center serving as the primary proponent. The project seeks to build sustainable and equitable systems, fostering stronger relationships between producers and consumers while advocating for public policies that support food sovereignty. By integrating rural and urban communities, the project envisions a future where agroecology serves as the foundation for resilient and just food systems. ✊🥦
