Land Shakra

Short description of your place and practices

Land Shakra aims to regenerate using permaculture methods, Agroecology principles and syntropic agroforestry. The farm has 3 years , we planted more than 1800 trees and there are 400 annually to add In the food forest. Organic Apricot, Almonds and Oranges are the commercial crops, besides our private orchard and potager.

The aim is a sustainable respectfull and creative way of living in sufficiency. A lot of work along with a lot of joy ! Façing the atlas mountain, 18 km from marrakech, a herbal mandala, a big pond, a jungle garden, chickens and ducks, a worm farm, 1 cat, 3 dogs and plenty of bees.

Organic methods: We are using a mix of permaculture, local and traditional growing methods, own experiments and intuitions as well! I have been trained by a Pierre Rabhi institution with agroecology practices. We therefore only use nature inspired methods (Mulching, composting, pairing trees and crops, help protect and cherish biodiversity, celebrate and follow the seasons pace, as well as trying to reuse, recycle and repare as much as we can, working with handmade and donkeys help and minimizing oil uses, designing shades and growing soil fertility )

Certifications: We are labeled SPG RIAM, which guarantees that we are engaged into an agro ecological process for all what is produced as fruits and vegetables in the farm, grown organically but also sustainable methods and farming and living, as well as ressources management (water, gas, power, human, animals and soil).
