La Ferme des Rufaux is an organic farm that follows the principles of Agroecology. We want to offer a healthy and varied production in short circuits!
We supply 60 families in AMAP, as well as the "Auberge des Ruines" in Jumièges (run there, it's delicious!), But also from time to time "the Roumois counter" bulk grocery store located in Bourg-Achard.
But who are we ?!
Edouard STALIN , grandson of farmers, has a BAC Pro in nursery-landscape designer & a BTSA Management & Nature Protection option "environmental education". Nature animator for several years within 2 communities of municipalities, Edouard decided in 2011 to set up his farm in organic market gardening!
During the winter of 2011-2012, 200 fruit trees were planted over 2 hectares, thus creating an agroforestry orchard. Vegetable crops are between the rows of trees & perennials (rhubarb, currant, raspberry…) are planted on the rows of trees. Passionate about nature, he devotes himself to agroecology (development of trophic networks of ecosystems) while developing an educational component for the attention of project leaders in organic market gardening.
Louise DEFFONTAINES joins the adventure in 2019! After studying landscaping, BTSA Landscaping & work-study engineering school ITIAPE (Technical Institute of Landscape & Spatial Planning Engineering), Louise became interested in market gardening. She decides to do several seasons in market gardening from 2015 to 2018, first in Savoie, then in Berry on her father's farm, as well as in the Lot...! These different experiences allowed him to learn the trade in the field!
