Welcome to Sahyadri Naturals, a regenerative farm nestled in the foothills of the majestic Kudremukha hills in Mala Village, Karkala Taluka, Udupi District, Karnataka. Sahyadri Naturals is a sanctuary of biodiversity and a model of sustainable farming rooted in India’s rich agricultural heritage. Guided by natural farming principles, our mission is to cultivate high-quality crops while restoring the land’s health and fostering ecological balance.
Our approach follows Subhash Palekar's 5-layer natural farming model, with coconut and arecanut as our primary crops. Alongside these, we nurture a diverse array of spices, medicinal and fruit-bearing trees, creating a resilient and self-sustaining ecosystem. Adding to this diversity, our farm also includes a dedicated vegetable garden, primarily for home consumption, and banana circles, which naturally enhance soil health while yielding nutritious produce.
At Sahyadri Naturals, we believe in working in harmony with nature through practices like mulching, companion planting, and organic pest control to protect the land and reduce dependency on synthetic inputs. This commitment to natural methods strengthens soil health, supports biodiversity, and enhances resilience against climate challenges.
We invite you to join us on our journey toward sustainable, eco-conscious farming. Sahyadri Naturals isn’t just a farm; it’s a movement toward ecological balance, community resilience, and a brighter, sustainable future for Indian agriculture.
