Sahainan Permaculture Organic Farm

Nestled in the mountains of northern Thailand, Sahainan Organic Permaculture Farm is a thriving 5.5-acre (14-rai) food forest and center for regenerative education. Since its founding in late 2014, the farm has embraced agroecological and permaculture principles to cultivate a biodiverse ecosystem that nourishes both people and the land. Our rich landscape teems with cashew nuts, rambutan, avocado, jackfruit, turmeric, coffee, rice, and an abundance of fruits, vegetables, and medicinal herbs—each plant playing a role in soil regeneration, pest control, and carbon sequestration.

Our mission is to create and sustain a way of life that prioritizes ecological harmony, food sovereignty, and resilience in the face of climate change. By integrating agroforestry, water conservation, natural building, and soil restoration techniques, we actively heal the damage caused by industrial agriculture and overconsumption. Every element of our farm—from companion planting to seed saving—works to restore balance while providing nutrient-rich food and essential resources for our community.

As a permaculture learning hub, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds to immerse themselves in hands-on education. Through workshops, apprenticeships, and experiential learning, we empower people with the skills to regenerate their own landscapes and food systems. Our goal is not just to farm sustainably but to inspire a movement where small-scale, community-driven agriculture becomes a cornerstone of a just and regenerative future.
