Founded in 2007, Habiba Organic Farm acts as a community-based farm to benefit the people of South Sinai. Our farm serves as a beacon to what can be accomplished through sound organic farming practices in the desert. Local people have seen the result, and today agriculture is beginning to flourish across the region.​

Our vision aims to be a holistic one. Its concepts and activity are grounded in six pillars—to prepare, encourage, secure, engage, integrate and innovate. Still inspired by Maged’s original dreams, Habiba’s holistic vision continues to grow, adapt and interlace with new ideas and changing scenarios. And of course, these pillars sit on a strong base—the Habiba Community!

Throughout the years, experimentation has been essential at our farms. From soil to irrigation, non-native plant species and different vegetable varieties, or perma-culture growing techniques, we’ve tried—and still are—trying everything. And we’re getting fascinating results!
